I am so thankful for my friends and family. Reflecting on all the wonderful moments spent singing in Munford High School Gospel Choir, I am overjoyed with happiness.

One song in particular resonates with me often. It is "Thank You Lord" by Walter Hawkins. I want to share this song with you today. The song writer says:

Tragedies are common place

All kinds of diseases, people are slipping away

Economy's down, people can't get enough pay

As for me, all I can is...

THANK YOU LORD FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR ME!

Tonight, I go to bed with a spirit of gratitude. I am thankful for the ability to type this message, thankful to have a warm bed and a roof over my head, thankful for good health and the list goes on and on. Hopefully, I have touched someone with my message!! Be grateful each day, and celebrate life. ENJOY!!
We are currently discussing the impact of education and work experience on passion. Each participant has been asked to really explore these two areas. This is a great exercise to understand how your educational background and work experience influences your passion.

Oftentimes, my educational choices were driven by passion. Ironically, my work history was either guided by my passion or used to provide the necessary tools and/or skills to implement my passion more effectively.

For instance, my first glimpse of entrepreneurship was under the tutelage of Alean Biles. She was a State Farm Agent under a new agency program created to develop independent agents. The agents were licensed to sell State Farm products, but they independently ran their own office. My job was to develop new business, but I learned a lifetime of skills from Alean Biles. After this position, I knew I wanted to dive into entrepreneurship!

This discovery process is meant to be fun and enlightening. Enjoy the ride!!
I started my morning rushing to complete my daily tasks and prepare for my radio interview with Lynne Haze in "The Ladies Room." I was so excited to speak with Lynne about my new book Passion Power Play. My interview was a 2PM followed by a book signing from 4PM-7PM then on to another meeting at 9PM. Although my day was hectic, I relished in the fact that I was loving every second. That's the thing about passion. When you are living your passion, you love every moment. Today, I am living in my passion more than ever. I am so thankful for the opportunity to live a life of freedom of choice and expression. On the radio show, I shared the following quote from Steve Jobs:

"Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."

I never want to settle in life again. Life is too short. I only have one life to live, so I may and well live it with PASSION!!
Today marks a wonderful moment in my life where I am openly sharing my inner thoughts and feelings with wonderful people in the world! I am so excited to discuss things that are relevant in my life and the life of others. Last night, I read a portion of Oprah's What I Know for Sure :

"I've always known that life is better when you share it. I now realize it gets even sweeter when you expand the circle."
Oprah

I was encouraged by this statement to reach outside of my comfort zone and learn to make new circles of friends and open my heart and mind to new adventures. This day marks the first day of my new adventures. I am glad you are joining me in this journey!
